These terms apply when you use the Dayrest website or buy goods from us. Dayrest is operated by Kiran Seehra as a sole trader trading under the name Dayrest. Contact us at dayrestsupport@gmail.com.

1. About these terms

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to enter into a contract and are buying as a consumer for personal use. These terms should be read with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

2. Products and information

We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Colours, proportions and appearance may vary slightly because of device displays, photography and manufacturing tolerances. Measurements are approximate unless stated otherwise. Please measure your window carefully and select a suitable size before ordering.

Product images form part of the description. The Dayrest Portable Blackout Blind is a temporary window covering and results depend on fit, installation, surface and ambient light. We do not promise that every installation will remove all light.

3. Orders and formation of contract

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms that we received the order but does not mean it has been accepted. A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, pricing is clearly incorrect, we suspect fraud, or delivery cannot be completed. If we have taken payment for an order we cannot accept, we will refund it.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and will state whether delivery charges apply. The total payable is displayed before you place the order. You must provide accurate billing and payment information and have authority to use the payment method. Payments are processed by Shopify and the payment providers made available at checkout; we do not directly store full card details.

5. Fulfilment and delivery

We use third-party fulfilment and delivery providers, and products may be shipped directly from an overseas fulfilment centre. Estimated processing and delivery times are stated in our Shipping Policy. You remain responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or a person you identify to receive them. Ownership passes when we receive payment in full.

6. Cancellations, returns and faulty goods

Your rights to cancel, return unwanted goods and obtain remedies for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. Those rights are incorporated into these terms and do not replace your statutory rights.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with service availability, scrape or copy content unlawfully, use the website for fraud, or infringe another person's rights. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the store, customers or other users.

8. Intellectual property

The Dayrest name, site design, original text, graphics and other content are owned by or licensed to us. You may view and make limited personal use of the website but may not reproduce, publish, sell or exploit its content without written permission, except where the law permits.

9. Liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, business losses incurred by consumers, or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control where we take reasonable steps to reduce the impact. Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes and website availability

We may update these terms prospectively to reflect changes to our products, services or the law. The version in force when you order applies to that purchase. We may update, suspend or withdraw website features, but this does not affect contracts already formed.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the benefit of mandatory consumer protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern directly.
